Your Discover Egypt Essense journey begins as you arrive in Cairo, where a Sunrise representative will greet you at the airport for your arrival process, hotel check-in, itinerary review, and other options. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring or relaxing as you prepare for the Heritage Experience ahead. Overnight

5:00AM Optional Sunrise Hot Air Balloon ride. After breakfast aboard the ship, descend into royal tombs at the Valley of the Kings, stand before Hatshepsut's Temple carved into limestone cliffs, and witness the towering Colossi of Memnon on the West Bank. Return to the ship for lunch as you sail towards Edfu, gliding through Esna Lock. Spend the afternoon on the sundeck or enjoy onboard amenities before Dinner and overnight on board your Nile Cruise.
Enjoy breakfast on board, followed by a visit to the Temple of Edfu dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Afterward, sail to Kom Ombo and enjoy lunch on board. Upon arrival, explore the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to both the crocodile god, Sobek, and the falcon god, Horus. Continue sailing to Aswan with evening entertainment in the lounge bar and dinner on board. Overnight in Aswan.

Start your day as you arrive in Aswan with breakfast before you visit to the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the Goddess Isis. Then, enjoy a scenic felucca ride to the Botanical Gardens. Return to the ship for lunch and a free afternoon, or opt for an optional 3-hour excursion to visit a Nubian Village, and dinner, spending your final evening docked in Aswan to explore.
Before dawn, leave Aswan for Abu Simbel, (3:30AM), with a breakfast box ready for the road. Watch the desert give way to Ramses II’s colossal temples, carved to impress gods and kings. After the visit, return to the cruise to collect your luggage, then transfer to the airport. Upon arrival in Cairo, you’ll be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel.

Begin the day with an unforgettable encounter—stand mere feet from the mummies who once commanded empires at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation. After a pause for lunch at a local café, journey into Coptic Cairo, where Christianity took root before spreading across the continents. Visit the Hanging Church and Abu Serga Church, one of Cairo's oldest Christian churches, where the Holy Family is said to have hidden during their journey through Egypt. Return to your hotel with the evening free to unwind as you choose.
Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel, taking in one of the last tastes of Egypt's hospality. Afterward, your tour manager will be ready with a warm smile to accompany you to the airport for your flight home. Assistance with lugguage and check-out will be provided, ensuring your departure is smooth and worry-free.
